8 months later and I’m only sharing this beautiful engagement session.
I flew to New York City back in April for Kirsty & Sean’s gorgeous wedding in The Hallow brook Lodge about an hours drive outside the city and that blog post is coming soon as it was one of the most relaxed weddings i’ve ever shot.
The day before the wedding we got up at 5am so that we could start off the engagement shoot at the brooklyn bridge so we could get that really soft muted light and it was so worth it, even with the jetlag. There were no tourists and for just for a few minutes, it felt like we were the only people in New York City, and that was wonderful, despite the cold. Kirsty brought a shall and absolutely rocked it. They are such a warm couple who would make anyone feel at ease with a calming and patient aura that surrounds them.
Initially when I got kristy’s email last year asking me to fly to the States to shoot their wedding I thought it was a friend with a fake email winding me up until she explained that her hubby is originally from Ireland and it was through a family connections recommendation that she found me. I just want to thank you both, not only for taking me over to the states, but for taking me around the city, for the beautiful meals and for introducing me to your families. The connection made and conversations had i’ll cherish forever.
